Nikon Rangefinder Illuminator

One of the most interesting accessories that Nippon Kogaku produced would be the rangefinder illuminator. Mounting on the camera in the shoe, it contains a small bulb, powered by a AA battery. This lamp illuminated the projected framelines in the cameras finder, making them easy to see in poor lighting conditions. This little item cost less than $20 new, but few were sold and now it is one of the more coveted accessories available for the SP to collectors.
